Introducing LMHIA
(Lower Mainland Horticulture Improvement Association)
LMHIA was formed in 1958 as a not-for-profit organization. It is governed by a Board of Directors representing horticulture commodities, with assistance from contract personnel and from the Ministry of Agriculture staff.
LMHIA organizes an annual Growers' Short Course. Funds raised from registration / membership support horticulture research projects, publication of two Production Guides: Berries and Vegetables, and management of the pesticide re-certification program for our members.
Commodity Group Representation
The Board of Directors consists of elected representatives from the main
horticultural's commodity groups of the Lower Mainland.
